Nice place great food
Excellent food with fine presentation.
A great find. I was born and raised in Texas. This isn't exactly the TexMex I was weaned on, but it's pretty darn close in a lot of ways. Bargain lunch combos menu. Same wait staff for years. Highly recommend.
Best Mexican food. I have been eating here for over 20 years. Fast service, friendly staff. Good prices.
Great food! Extremely fast service!
We love this place. Authentic Mexican, excellent service, quiet atmosphere.
good food and friendly service! the salsa was mildly spicy and the chorizo burrito was delicious
Been going here for 20 years it's really a special little spot.
Family owned and operated...authentic mexican food! Chimichangas were awesome..asked for crispy and they did it! Hubby had enchiladas and taco, said they were delicious. Chips and salsa were yummy!!
We hit this spot all the time, simple, fast, consistent and always great. Service is always great.
Love love love this food....been in Tigard for 10+ years. They remember me and my family even if we haven't bee in for months. Best mexican cuisine around!!!!!!!
Best Mexican food I've had since I lived in Southern California..
We loved the food and service great small family place
I love this place!Great service and solid food. Their ultimate margarita does not disappoint.
Kind of a hole in the wall off of I5, but great food, nice margaritas
When my wife and I consider moving, we first consider if it's possible to leave El Sol. Simply the best.
My favorite Mexican restaurant, hands-down. The staff is great, the food is amazing, the margaritas are strong, and theirs is the best salsa I've ever had
Great cuisine, affordable prices, friendly family staff! Our local go-to spot for comforting tortilla soup, delicious salsa and fresh chips, zesty meals and margaritas!! A Tualatin-Tigard must check out, indeed. Just be sure to leave a table free for us!
The food was ok, the service could have been better.
Great food and service, really loved the salsa with the chips, great spices and consistency.
Quirky little place great food at good prices. Great waitress with a load of character. Lots of choices. A solid favourite.
Good American style Mexican food.
I love the scenery overlooking the pond and wildlife.Food: it's average for mexican food. My tamale had little meat in it and was mostly corn meal. The actual contents of my enchilada was shredded dry bland chicken no seasonings or taste rolled in a tortilla smothered in sauce and cheese. Doesn't take much to make it. They smother everything with enchilada sauce and cheese so the enchilada tastes the exact same as the tamales which tastes the exact same as the burrito. Lol but if you like enchilada sauce and cheese you will love their whole menu! Service: the service is nice and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is traditional Mexico and the views are awesome. The plates are extremely ridiculously hot when served to you, not sure why or how. But the food is definitely hot.
Excellent lunch and very reasonable prices.. The salsa is amazing
Excellent food and friendly staff our whole family loves to go back frequently
I can't think of a better mexican food restaurant. I would eat here every meal if I could!
Overall great experience.
Good food... Friendly staff. Was a favorite when we lived in the area years ago. First time for us since returning to the northwest.
Consistency is the key and this place has been consistent for the past 7 years for us.
Taco meat looked like cat food. Good selection of Margaritas, at $10 a piece.
Great family restaurant and great food awesome prices and great service will eat there anytime
Good food and great atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and accomdating.
Amazing food, nice friendly staff :)
Sorry, no pics. But it was delicious and I've already gone back a second time!
There is ample parking around and the place is empty so you should be able to get a table as well. The chips and salsa were alright. The server was good too and helped me with the order. The food however was definitely a disappointment only because the meat , although cooked well, was not cooked with the flavors and was absolutely bland.
My favorite Mexican food place in Tualatin
Wonderful food and service
Good food at reasonable prices and friendly people!
My family comes to this restraunt every Friday. Some of the reviews astonish me, because this is one of my all time favorite restraunts. There is a woman who always serves us who is so sweet, and has our orders memorized by heart. One review claimed that their daughter got a second degree burn from the plates, however they always warn you to be careful because they are hot when they set them on your table. It is inexpensive and I always find something new to order. Please try it for yourself and don't trust the other bad reviews!!!
Awesome people and great food.
The food was good prompt and thougly enjoyable
Not much flavor... Some have called it too Anglo, but it just is not very good. Chicken enchiladas were down right bland 😐
Not very authentic. A bit overpriced.
Normal Mexican food. A little pricey.
We pop in here every once in awhile. Dont order the tortilla soup, very basic and very disappointing
Our whole family adores this restaurant; they are very kid friendly and often my kids do not want to leave! Great food, nice people and beautiful to look out over the wetlands through huge windows.
The food was pretty good, but the service was bad, the manager should be fired or at least trained, and their menu should be corrected. Their menu clearly stated that you get two free refills with hot chocolate, but when we got the check we were charged for two. When we brought it to their attention they kept refusing to give us the second one for free, even though the menu said we should. The manger refused to even look at a menu, so he probably knew we were right. After stating the facts several times he finally took off the second charge. He acted very immature after that by slamming the keys and yanking out receipts. I had been planning in going back, but I never intend to now. They just lost a customer because of their attitude.
1st time here, they were busy for Sunday lunch, good food and service overall.
The food was delicious, compliments to the chef; however the portion, for the amount I paid, was very small. I got a burrito to go and the first look at it, I thought they had gotten my order wrong with a small enchilada... it ended up being what I ordered, but it was so tiny. I also had to pay extra for chips and salsa when normally it comes complimentary at other restaurants with a dish. Probably won’t be back unfortunately.
My adult daughter and I get together for lunch every few weeks. We picked this place due to the great Yelp reviews. We arrived at noon and the place was surprisingly not busy at all, though at the same time the staff seemed disinterested in us and rushed through the process. We ordered the same meal (beef and chicken enchiladas). I thought the beef was OK but the chicken was dry. I also noticed a funny aftertaste toward the end of the meal, like rancid oil. Late that night I got sick... and I called my daughter who had also gotten sick. So, bad and rushed service, so-so food, and we both got ill.
